Day 10
This morning we were going to see the changing of the guard, but before we could see that we wandered around London for a while. We saw Big Ben (which wasn’t that big) Parliament house and Westminster Abbey, which cost 15 pounds to get into, which we found ridiculous. Next we went to Buckingham Palace to see the changing of the guard. It was very impressive, with a marching band playing songs like Somewhere Over the Rainbow, then they started marching and were very organized. After the changing of the guard we walked to the strand where I bought a pair of shiny, cherry red Doc Martens for 70 pounds, which is very good, seeming my silver ones were $210. After shopping we went back to our hotels and relaxed before going into town to see the Lion King. It was absolutely amazing, with wonderful music and costumes.

Day 11
We didn’t do a lot today as we were tired from our wonderful night out at the theatre. We went shopping along Oxford street then spent the rest of the night just relaxing.

Day 12
We went to the tower of London today, it was amazing. The beefeater we had as a tour guide was very funny, making jokes about the French, the funniest was when he told us that the English king at the time of the battle of Agincourt said that it was not the English that won, but God. He then explained that God hated the French. After the Tower of London we went to Kensington Gardens which had the Peter Pan Park. There was a long line to g3et in the park, but there were lots of rude people pushing in line. Next we went to the Portobello Road Markets where I bought a lovely sparkly necklace with earrings for 8 pounds. Me and mum also bought a toast rack to remind us of London. Afterwards we went to the London Westfield, very similar to the ones back home, just a lot bigger.

  1. I want a picture of the Doc's. Are you going back to London - maybe I need to send you my shoe size for a blue pair?
